Thai tourist visa for Indian passport holders

Featured Replies

Dear Thai Visa website,
I'd like to ask some information on Thai visa for Indian passport holder.
A friend, indian passport entered Thailand with tourist visa for 2 months already. After 60 days completed he tried to extend but got only 7 days. He needs to stay in Thailand for next 3 weeks.

So, it this possible that he can go to Lao then re-enter Thailand again with tourist visa? I would be really appreciate if someone can give information,
Best,
Kanchai

He could probably get a Visa on Arrival.

That would give 15 days and cost 1,000 Baht.

An Indian passport holder cannot get a tourist visa at any embassy or consulate within the region.

All he could get would be a visa on arrival for 15 days after applying for it and paying 1000 baht for it on entry to the country. Visas on arrival are possible at the crossing In Nong Khai after entering Laos to Vientiane and returning. He would have to pay $40 for the Lao visa on arrival.

He could then apply for a 7 day extension, pay 1900 baht and be given 7 days to leave the country.
