Good to see that the BIB are prioritizing the really huge crimes. and never mind some murder of a insignificant farang lady, since that does not bring the same amount of shame as some pictures of OMG a naked body. ChiangraiTony
500 baht fine. With the investigation, high tech device, conducting interviews, and viewing the CCTV, etc.. I wonder how much was spent to only fine such a small amount.
northernphil
A small fine for something so small , next time make it a stiff one.

z42
Sounds like a lot of police resources spent for such petty "crimes". And i do use the word loosely. Also 500b fine is ridiculous. How could it deter anybody from doing anything
pendingo
Wee Willie has been caught at last. Now we can all rest easy in our beds at night. Another demonstration of how crime does not pay in Thailand.

How could it deter anybody from doing anything It is a statement that this is not acceptable behavior. It isn't a big deal but without some sort of show that it won't be tolerated the idiots of the world will continue to try and top each other with these kind of antics. Next thing you know, if you don't have a video of you streaking through wat doi suthep you haven't really been to Chiang Mai. A little bit of resources now is a good investment to head off possibly having to chase streakers in front of every tourist attraction for years. WOW the BIB is getting to be just like the RCMP they always get their man. Perchance his name is Sergeant Bullmoose. 500 baht fine incredible. Pretty cheap for 15 minutes of fame. Now if you believe that I have some swampland in Louisiana for sale.

Linky
Surely this is not true. According to some this behaviour is only unnavceptable in muslim countries and they would never be charged with anything in any other country.
CMKiwi
Naked photos draw the ire from the police, but karaoke rip offs continue to flourish..... hmmmm now which is more damaging to Chiang Mai? I see CM land establishments have had another media frenzy due to these scum. Methinks some priorities need re-adjusting in the police focus on crime

Methinks some priorities need re-adjusting in the police focus on crime If the guys posting the photos had the same 'special arrangements' with the police that the karaoke bars do, they would have had nothing to worry about. Gonzo the Face
Now what would be the crowning glory would be if we found out that these 2 were fined 500 baht for this dastardly adventure but there was declared a three million baht reward paid to the hard working police involved in their apprehension.
