We're going to Malaysia to change from tourist to business visas. I believe I have seen mention here & there of "re-entry permits". I guess this is something we'll need for return to Thailand ?

Where does one get these and how ?

At the airport there is a desk on the second floor. You can get one from Suan Phluu too.

May be you misunderstood.

Re-entry permit are issued if you want to come back on the same visa.

Example you have now a Non Imm Single entry and need to travel and reuse yr existing Non Imm upon coming back.

Permit are available at the Airport Terminal 1.
