derekjw
Hi Everybody, I have just been offered n ESC card to save money on my electricity bills. Does anyone here in Thailand have any experience of these cards as they sound too good to be true!!! Keep the comments flowing folks, some are funny, some aren't, but all are worth reading! Pattaya46
ESC, or Electric (Power) Saving Card were a successful big scam 4 or 5 years ago. Just Google it if you want to know, but don't buy it!

Langsuan Man
Isn't this the same system that they have in hotels to insure that you don't run the A/C when you are not in the room ?
Tywais
I think this pretty well sums it up. May suit Thailand though with its spirits and amulets: Electricity Saver Card Electricity Saver Card (ESC) is an electricity saving card embedded with universal life force energy. As the human body speeds metabolism when blood flow is improved, the absorbed rotating electromagnetic waves advance free electron flow. They convert the reactive power wasted by electrical resistance into active power to improve current level and reduce the resistance inside the cable. This results in an outstanding power saving effect.

RabC
Seriously people fall for this sh*t? If I remember correctly they fell for it in droves about 7-8 years ago, then it was described that it affected the rotation of the disc in your electricity meter.
