pj123
I would like to fit a light switch with a timer and found this model on Lazada. http://www.lazada.co.th/thaivasion-digital-lcd-timer-onoff-switch-ac220v-16a-511306.html Problem is that the terminals are exposed so I am not sure how this would be installed. I had a look round HomePro and found nothing. Any other suggestions welcome. Thanks
sirocco
hello, what are your intentions for this programmer. I have several individual that I use to put the coffee maker on the way the morning the lighting in the home at nightfall and that stops automatically. It is plugged in an electrical outlet. Forkinhades
Looks like there should be an enclosure for the pins to plug into.
bankruatsteve
Very strange for something designed to control a lamp. Those appear to be solder terminals, but I wouldn't do that. If you can't find a compatible plug, I suppose you could put the wires through the hole, crimp, and put a bunch of tape. Very strange.
Crossy
Those are 1/4" blade connectors, get fully insulated crimps to go on them then put the lot in a plastic box, neat round hole for the front of the timer to poke through.. Plenty of plug-in timers available, both electronic and mechanical, easy and safe (ish, many switch the neutral).
bankruatsteve
That's what I thought at first but didn't see a gap at the bottom of the blade (?). But, you're probably right, as usual. Are those the kind usually found in automotive electrics?

Yup, same size, but for mains use you need to have the fully shrouded version I actually have that timer (or one very like it) controlling our outside lights. Langsuan Man
By the way that is a pretty good price for a timer that has a backup battery since most mechanical timers are useless since in a power outage your time will be off the same amount of time as was the outage. Unfortunately it would have to be installed outside of the switch with the wires running into the switch, especially if you needed to over ride the timer to turn the light on or off manually I have three of the Panasonic brand mechanical timers that have a built in battery but at a cost of 1,400 THB if memory serves me correctly see: http://pessth.panasonic.co.th/product/electrical/catlevel4/TB38809KE7-1.html
sfokevin
Here is a link to a YouTube video of the wiring and setup... If your wanting this for something a bit nicer than a chicken coop you can find a nice wood jewelry box at a night market and mount it on the wall as an inclosure for the timer Also eBay sells them with enclosure http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rainproof-AC-220V-240V-Digital-Programmable-Timer-Switch-With-Weather-Proof-Box-/290686787254?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43ae485eb6 Edited June 22, 2015 by sfokevin
KhunBENQ
You ask for a "Light Switch With Timer". If you indeed want to replace an existing light switch at the wall (wall mountin) then the model you found is about what you need. If you want a plug-socket with a timer then you can look for a cheapish thing like this (400 Baht, flatpin). This can be plugged into the usual Thai outlets. http://www.hitechcool.com/product/19/digital-timer-%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%84%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%B7%E0%B9%88%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%87%E0%B8%95%E0%B8%B1%E0%B9%89%E0%B8%87%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%A7%E0%B8%A5%E0%B8%B2%E0%B8%94%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%88%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%95%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%A5-%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%9B%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%94%E0%B8%9B%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%94%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%84%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%B7%E0%B9%88%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%87%E0%B9%83%E0%B8%8A%E0%B9%89%E0%B9%84%E0%B8%9F%E0%B8%9F%E0%B9%89%E0%B8%B2%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%95%E0%B9%82%E0%B8%99%E0%B8%A1%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%95%E0%B8%B4 Edited June 23, 2015 by KhunBENQ
