Two Taiwanese men arrested for attempting to smuggle 12 kgs of 'ice'

BANGKOK: -- Narcotics Suppression Division police Wednesday arrested two Taiwanese men for allegedly attempting to smuggle 12 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine to Aukland, New Zealand.

Acting on tips-off, the police arrested Liao Ping-Hsiang, 22, and Huang Jyun-Jie, 21 at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport after the drug was found hidden in their three bags.

Dropped a Dime on these guys and 400 K 's get through.

Loose 12kg? Never, I'm sure they would rather pull something like that with a cheaper drug, like weed or something.. These 2 fellows were probably just trying to make a quick buck, another perfect example of the stupid things naïve people try to pull off for money..

Then why the tip off if they are unknown...

As Boyd said: 12k lost is nothing if it can allow 400K to go through safely...

Edit: Maybe not in that particular case though: they were going out, not coming in.
