Freezer blower sucking

Featured Replies

Hi I just picked up a used 4 door freezer. Started to fully clean and refurbish it. But when turning it on I notice that the two fans inside in the top suck air and the radiator behind the fans blows the air. I assume this should be the other way around, right? The unit on top blows as I expect it to do, eg blow from fan side and suck through the radiator and heat exchanger.

Will reversing the poles on the motor make it run correctly?

Thank you!

Ok, maybe the inside unit should be sucking from the fans. Both fans have an arrow on them clearly indicating they should spin in such a way that they suck the air in. Weird. Unless someone tells me it should blow, I'll keep it like it is wired now.

Might not exactly fit, but looks similar to what you describe.

A fan on top sucks the air in and blows it downward.

That is a normal operation of a so called "dynamic cooling" to achieve an equal temperature within the (main) compartment.
