nivram4491
I have just been asked for recommendations for a good place to stay for 3 Canadian women in their early 20's. I really know very little about the tourist scene in Chiang Mai. Any advice would be appreciated.
WinnieTheKhwai
Would they like to spend 400 Baht or 4000 Baht on their accommodation? Or somewhere in between? But on the assumption that omitting a budget means that cost doesn't really matter, I suggest Tamarind Village in the old town. FolkGuitar
Let me point to the other end of the spectrum. If they are doing the 'backpacker tourist' route, then there are a slew of inexpensive guest houses down soi 9 off Moon Muang Rd that offer the 'old' Khaosan Rd feel (as opposed to what Khaosan Rd is today.) Clean, comfortable, inexpensive, decent food in their restaurants, and plenty of other 20-something tourists with whom to interact.
CMSteve
aribnb.com Tell them to pick something in the old city or east between the river and old city. All price ranges and can sort by using the map
