July 4, 201511 yr i am looking to buy ceremic floortiles where would be a large shop in or around Chiang Mai that has a good selection Edited July 4, 201511 yr by pokerkid
July 4, 201511 yr Boonthavorn on the super highway most likely has the biggest selection, but Home Sukkapan probably comes close. Then, of course, there are the usual suspects like Home Pro, Global House and Thai Watsadu, but their selection are a little more limited. Not much difference in prices between all the mentioned places. Sophon Edited July 4, 201511 yr by Sophon

Great Spanish tiles (70 Bt/piece) down to the normal Cotto etc (160-250 Bt/m2) and all price ranges in between. Great choice.
July 4, 201511 yr Home Sukkapan is number one. Best prices and after sales service. Global OK on price but that's all. HomePro specials are very good but selection is limited. Boonthavorn looks like a 5 star hotel with tile prices to match.

Boonthavorn looks like a 5 star hotel with tile prices to match. The tile prices at Boonthavorn isn't generally much more expensive than the other places. When we build out house we bought tiles at all the places I mentioned, and in the cases where they had the same tiles the prices were very similar. We bought some tiles for the kitchen wall that cost 245 Baht/sq.m. at Home Sukkapan and the same tiles cost 250 Baht/sq.m. at Boonthavorn. Another tile for the floor in the raised crawl space cost 233 Baht/sq.m. with a discount at Home Sukkapan and had a list price of 243 Baht/sq.m. at Boonthavorn. Boonthavorn probably has more up scale tiles (with corresponding up scale prices) than Home Sukkapan, but they also have plenty of standard tiles at standard prices. Sophon

July 5, 201511 yr If like me it's difficult to read the google map thing just keep going down the Superhwy way past Makro the road will narrow a bit then you get home Sukkpan on right and Boonthavon and .thai Watsadu left. Boonthavon does have a terrific display but you can also get ideas at Cotto Studio behind Bkack Canyon in Nimmanhemin obviously Cotto tiles only but they're good.

Sophon I agree with you re the locally made product prices similar but their imported (Indonesian?) stock is quite expensive, not necessarily higher quality.
