Visa Transfer to New Passport

Featured Replies

I took my replacement passport to Immigration this morning to have the visa transferred. Everything looks good except the old non-OA visa was multiple entry and the new one does not show "M" or multiple anywhere. My Thai is very basic but Mrs S. confirms - sorry, I can't scan the page for you.

I assume I am still entitled to multiple entries up until the "Enter Before" date of 9 Nov 2015. Am I correct? Thanks

All they did was a stamp that is an annotation of the visa that you used for entry it is not a visa you can use for entry.

You will have to show both passports on entry to the country to use the still valid visa in the old one.

A visa is not transferred, so I presume your permisison to stay was transferred to the new passport.

The question is if you are on yearly extensions of stay from immigration or still on a multiple O-A visa entry.

If you are still on the O-A visa and it is still valid, you simply use the combination of old and new passport to use the multiple entry facility (Untill the O-A visa expires on Nov. 9th). The old shows your visa and then the stamp the new passport accordingly.
