One year multi entry non O visa

Featured Replies

Advice please.

With the above visa can I report to immigration every 3 months or must I leave the country (border run)

Appreciate response.

You'll need to do a border run every 90 days.

whistling.gif If you get a one year multi entry Non O visa , each entry to Thailand will be for 90 days, that is you will have a "permitted to enter" stamp that is good for 90 days on each entry.

So yes, on that visa you will need to exit the country every 90 days (after your "permitted to enter" stamp expires) and re-enter for another 90 day "permitted to enter" 90 day stamp.

Now, if you are 50 or over, and have the funds for the financial requirements, after the first year of your one year Multi entry Non O visa expires; then you can apply for an extension annually. If that extension is approved, you can stay here indefinitely (what is mistakenly often referred to as a "retirement visa", but is really a retirement extension) by qualifying for an annual extension every year.

Thanks.

Can I do the exit - re-entry on the same day or must I stay out of the country for one night.

You can do it on the same day.

When I was on a multi entry non O, I would go to Nong Khai for a few days. On one of the days, I would head across the bridge to Laos. Once into Laos, I would do a U turn and come back. From departing my hotel in Nong Khai, until I returned, it took, on average, 90 minutes.
