UPS lost wife's documents in support of Non-O visa application. Will photocopies work?

Hi All,

Would like some advice to a little bit of a crisis I'm having at the moment.

I work for a BOI company and they recently provided me with the whole stack of paperwork in support of my Chinese spouse to apply for a Non-O visa at a Thai consulate in China.

I mailed her the documents via UPS; unforunately, they've screwed up and the documents are for all immedaite purposes, lost.

I did however, make a copy of the entire stack before mailing it out to her; the invitation letter, letter from BOI, my WP copy, marriage certificate, company balance sheet, list of shareholders etc.

Will a photocopied set of the original documents work for the visa application? Basically, most of the 'original' documents were photocopies anyways, with the boss's signature and company seal.

Please advise. if I get the photocopied documents reattested and re-stamped with the company seal, will that work?

you'd think in this day and age with all the tek advances, there would be a secure ( and legally acceptable ) way to send documents via the internet.

Normally all that should be needed for her non-o is a copy of your passport photo page and extension stamp. Plus the original marriage certificate and a copy.

I suggest you email her copies of everything and then apply for her visa.
