jacksam
I seem, again , to be in state of confusion. In few weeks will be in Vientiane to apply for non o based on retirement. No problem and this is covered in TV extensively. Then later I intend to apply for annual extensions. Easy. Here is my problem. I will be in and out of Thailand, so often after obtaining the initial non o, I'm not sure how I can wait till last 30 days of my non o to apply for extension. As I understand it I will be given a single entry non o?? I'm aware I can apply for re entry permit for once I have my extension. Can I also do that for the non imm o. Any help much appreciated. nowretired
A re-entry permit can be obtained for any visa entry/extension of stay - 1000 Bht single or 3800 Bht for multiple entry.
jacksam
Thankyou Nowretired. Can I do that at Don Mueang first time I leave? Guess I can't do it at thai consulate in Vientiane?
ubonjoe
You can get a re-entry permit that will keep you 90 day entry valid if you want to travel.
ubonjoe
You can get the re-entry permit after you have your 90 day entry at an immigration office or at Don Mueang 24 hours a day on departure form the country for you trip.

loumaripol
When my wife went to Chaeng Wattana after returning from VTE we were told that the extension must be done at the end of the 90 days. I asume that means after 60 days it may be submitted. Please let me know if htat part is wrong follks. She did get a re-entry permit at that time. ubonjoe
You can apply for an extension during the last 45 days of the 90 day entry at Chaeng Wattana.
