UDON THANI — Three models have been fined for taking off their tops at a pool party in northeastern Thailand.

Photos of the topless models were widely shared on social media this week, prompting police to investigate the incident.

Today the three women seen in the photos and the event’s organizer were summoned to Mueang Udon Thani Police Station to hear their charges. The women, who are in their early 20s, have been charged with indecent exposure, while the party’s organizer has been charged with selling alcohol without permission.

The models confessed to stripping in front of the guests during the party at Milin Water Park and Restaurant on 27 March. They were fined 2,500 baht each by the police.

From Khaosod English: "Everyone of us accepts the fault for our inappropriate action," said Guitar. "We would like to apologize."

On behalf of all heterosexual males of the world, I accept her apology.

2,500 baht fine for ladies showing their breasts and nobody was injured 500 baht fine for assault which can cause severe pain. I still don't understand the thinking of why the ladies needed to be fined at all.

The hypocrisy is unbelievable at times. This is one of those times. Political and Law Enforcement blind eyes to Nana and Soi Cowboy venues including fully nude dancers and BJ's for customers as they drink their beers and watch the girls on stage. And earlier this year when the Bangkok Governor toured Nana one early evening, no girls dancing! Zero. Just the music playing in all venues and covered up Servers everywhere. What a pathetic joke all around regarding this issue.

I think you are trying to compare those people that voluntarily go into a go-go bar, with the family that goes to a waterpark and restaurant. Apples & oranges

Looks like I missed an important event :(

Thai hypocrisy in perfection... Bludgeoned to death victims, people with half their face missing by gun shots, popped open motorbike accident victim's heads with the brain smeared all over the street closeup and in full color available to any school kid with those stupid police magazines on sale at any 7Eleven, what is stuff hidden in cellars of the police in any western country and NOT exposed to public because it is disgusting and offending, but then put a "censorship" sticker on any female nipple, etc. file indecent exposure charges over a pool party where some girls flashed their titties (part of god's perfect design abilities) something totally natural and nice to look at... it's all laughable at best.

Again, posters miss the point.

This was a "for profit" event. The police get a cut of the sex industry's huge profits at every level.

Even though, this is a very loose definition of "sex industry", there was some nudity involved and the police didn't get paid. This is the point. Pay the police if you want to make money in this business. The fine is because the police didn't get paid.
