Is there any consulate near Thailand that offers same day tourist visas? I know Penang doesn't anymore.

I came here on a holiday and loved it so much that I am planning on staying. I've just started a job in Satun and my employers are currently processing the paperwork for my non-B, but my visa runs out on Saturday (18th).

So basically: I arrived in May on 30 day exempt - Didn't get an extension as I visited Cambodia for a day and night with some friends before the 30 days, so on return to Thailand I got a 15 day visa exempt - Extended that in Bangkok for 30 days, and that runs out in a couple of days.

So I'm basically just wondering what my options are? The border here near Satun will not give 15 day visa exempt anymore. And since tomorrow is Friday I really do not want to stay in Penang from tomorrow until Monday. Is there somewhere I can fly tonight or early tomorrow that will give me same day tourist visa?

Seeing as I already have a 30 day visa exempt and a 15 day, I guess just flying in and out tomorrow is out of the question?

Flying in and out tomorrow would give you another 30 days that could be extended by 30 at Immigration

Yeah I'm aware of that, and probably wouldn't even need the extension. I was more concerned about the fact that I already have a 30 day visa exempt and a 15 day one also. Would I have any hassle?

You should not have a problem getting one by air dependent you where you fly into here. Just be prepared to show 20k baht in cash to show if asked forit.

Thank you, I'll be sure to have cash with me. I would ideally like to fly from Hat Yai to Kuala Lumpur. Any idea what immigration are like in Hat Yai? Any other airports in the south that are OK?

Bad reports for Phuket. I have seen none for Hat Yai.

At airports they have to follow procedures to deny you entry and the reason has to be under section 12 of the immigration act. That is what the 20k baht is for to meet the financial proof requirements.
