It is actually, for the Guinness anyway. The can has a plastic widget inside that release co2 when the can is opened which gives a smooth head when poured in a glass.

I wonder if smartphone companies stole the term widget from Guinness? ?

A lot of the guiness sold in bars here come from a can and then they are popped onto a surger unit

Yes Lenny. I've got to say that I have had my share of those over the years, but it is still draught beer in cans which PP found very funny! lol

Siam Expat Foods (Soi Siam Country Club) had Murphy's some weeks back, if they still do of course remains to be seen.

Thanks for the tip. I will check it out later today.

No luck at Siam Expat Foods, but not a wasted journey - I managed to spend nearly 2,000 Baht on things I didn't realise I needed.

Villa mart in the avenue

Avoid the sturger rubbish (worst pint I've ever had)

Is that a positive sighting? Guinness or Murphy's?

Take it from me, draught Guiness in cans is definitely NOT available in Thailand. Which is a crying shame as it is very good.

Murphys in stock at Siam expat foods today. About 5 cases. Save some for me ?

Thanks!

Just my luck, I fly out to the UK tomorrow and will be in Dublin by 16th. So I will be drinking the good stuff.

But it's good to know that there is somewhere to buy Murphy's when I get back (given up on finding Guinness here).

It's a weird thing. You would think that as time goes by the choice of food and drink available in Pattaya would improve, but in fact the opposite is happening. The most recent example is Yamazaki bakery closing. Stuff that you could get a year or two ago, you can't get now.

Steady....... It is like a hand job.

Not as good as the real thing. but better than nothing!
