I am always on the lookout for new eateries to share with my friends.. Yesterday I found one out the front of my security estate that had just opemed. A Coffee Shop offerinbhtg great coffee (served hot) and a dozen or so Thai meals that are excellent (assuming all the others are the same quality that we had last night). Avery small

shop at the lower level (they live above) and friendly Mum and daughter. Daughter makes great coffee, so we came back for dinner last night.

I had one of my favourites Penang Curry 70bht, , gf had Tom Yum Goong 80bht, home made spring rolls 70bht, rice, 2 icy cold beers (they put them in the freezerfor me) total 350bht. Food excellent.

Location, Mabtato 1 community, opposite Soi13, The Meadows Estate, called Star Coffee. Go to end of Numpabwan turn right at the temple entrance, 7/11

.opposite, immediate right behind 7/11 200mts LHS. Cheap, friendly, lovely food and nice people trying to do something .

There's a nice little Isaan eatery just east of Wat Huai Yai on Huai Yai road. They have tables in an air conditioned room or outside.

Menus are in Thai and English.

Clean and friendly with cheap delicious food. (Thai food only). Nice people trying to do something.

Went there yesterday, 3 people, 4 courses, 2 sticky rice, large Pepsi, 260 baht.

Run by 2 gay guys & served by a lady boy, slightly strange experience but the food was good.

Wifey said it wasreal Issan food & she would go back with friends.

Sat inthe air conditioned room, there is an electric buzzer for service if required.

All in all, would repeat for the red curry chicken alone (almost a dry curry but delicious) @ 40 baht, very nice.

Cheers

If you are on the north side of the dark side, there's a great little Isaan restaurant opened a few weeks ago on Pattaya Sukhumvit Soi 15 (Nongket Yai Road), between highway 3 and the railway track. Not much over 50 or 60 baht on the menu. No air-conditioning but there's usually a pretty good breeze. Fan available if you need one. Gets real busy at lunch time so with only 4 tables (2 of them in sala's at the back) better to get there any other time as it's all super fresh and made to order. The menu is in Thai but English is spoken.
