Education Visa, Absences and 90 Day Reporting

Featured Replies

Education Visa, Absences and 90 Day Reporting:

1- Is it possible to use online reporting on an "Education Visa"?

2- Is it possible to do any kind of 90-day reporting (on an Ed,. Visa) if one has been absent more than 50% of classes?

Thank you :)

1. You can do a report of staying longer than 90 days in the country online with any type of extension.

2. You can do the report but you may not qualify for a new 90 day extension.

Thanks-- it's not actually me-- someone I know-- so immigration keeps track of absences from class and can deny 90-day reporting?

Part of the paperwork the school provides to apply for an extension is for attendance. If the paperwork showing low attendance immigration can deny an extension or give it for less than 90 days.

I removed all of the multitude of posts you made asking the same question. Multiple posts like that are not needed and are a violation of the forum rules..

Thank you-- I'm sorry-- new to this forum-- I was "fishing"...

So reporting 90-days is actually an "extension"--

When an ed. Visa person does 90-day reporting-- it's different than a retirement 90-day reporting??

Retirement 90-day is just a formality-- in and out--

It's different for Ed. Visa??

The school gets involved somehow?

If done online-- how is the school involved in 90-day reporting?

Retirement extensions are for 1 year, Ed extensions are for 90 days for non formal schools (language schools)

If your friend is attending a language school they have to get a new 90 day extension of stay because that is longest extension they can get.

The 90 day report is not the same thing.

So my first question about 90-day reporting for Ed. Visa actually made no sense?

It would be impossible for an Ed. visa person to do anything online after 90 days?

My friend said they have a 1 year Ed visa with a language school--or maybe they don't?

Maybe it's a 90 day visa extendable every 90 days up to a year?

A person on 90 day extensions of stay would still need to do reports of staying longer than 90 days that could be done online.

The only one year ED visa would be a multiple entry visa that allows 90 entries for a year

What he has is an enrollment in a school that allows getting a total stay of one year from the 90 day entry a single entry non-ed visa allows and then 90 day extensions of stay.

So they could report online yet would still need to get and extension too?

Yes

Thank you so much--

Is the "timing" of Ed. Visa renewals and 90-day reports the same?

I believe it's true-- that when visiting an Immigration office the old fashioned way-- 90-day reports should be done within 14 or 15 days before or 7 days after one's 90th day in the Kingdom--

What's the timing on Education Visa Renewals?

The 90 day reports will not always coincide with the extension.

No visa can be renewed or extended.

The new 90 day extension can be applied for a few weeks prior to the date the current one ends up to the date it ends.

thanks again for all your replies---

can you please explain what you mean by "No visa can be renewed or extended."??

my friend has an Ed. visa for 1-year and must renew/extend or do something every 90 days or 3 months---

he has that figured out with his school/visa agency--- but would you care to explain what you meant by "No visa can be renewed or extended"??

is he in essence getting a new visa each 90 days/3months?

also--- the time frames:

90-day reporting must be done within 14 (or 15??) days before-- or 7 days after-- one's 90th day in the Kingdom...

but how far in advance prior to the ending date of one's 90 day Ed. Visa termination date can one apply for and receivean extension/renewal

A visa cannot be extended or renewed. Only the permit to stay a visa allows on entry to the country can be extended.

All that can be done with visa is to apply for a new one at an embassy or consulate.

As I wrote before there in no 1 year ED visa other than a multiple entry visa issued by an embassy or consulate..

Read the last line of my previous post to find how early and extension can be applied for. The max is 30 days at most offices.

The new 90 day extension can be applied for a few weeks prior to the date the current one ends up to the date it ends.
