Police to conclude Chuwong’s death next week

BANGKOK: -- Assistant commissioner of the Royal Thai Police Pol Lt Gen Prawut Thawornsiri disclosed today that a meeting of two police teams will be called next week to conclude the exact cause of death of the construction billionaire Chuwong Sae Tang.

He dismissed earlier speculation of the conclusion of investigation which gave accident as a most likely cause saying there was no conclusion yet on his death whether it was accident or murder.
Two teams of police are investigating the case, one from the Metropolitan police and another from the Crime Suppression Division (CSD).

Metropolitan police probed into the cause of Chuwong’s death when a Lexus van driven by former Nakhon Sawan MP Pol Lt Col Bunyin Tangphakorn crashed into a tree, killing Chuwong who sat on the left.

Metropolitan investigators are waiting for technical data of the impact from forensic police which include speed of the vehicle upon impact, wounds on Chuwong’s body from the impact which could cause death, and internal damage in the car cockpit.

CSD police investigate share transactions of the deceased worth almost 300 million baht to two girls, one is a caddy at the golf course which the victim went to tee off, and another is broker of the finance company which kept his portfolio. Both girls also worked part time as “pretties” or event show girls.

CSD was asked to investigate by Chuwong’s family after they found unusual share transfers to the two pretties a few days before his death. They said transfer documents showed Chuwong spelt his family name wrongly.

Latest CSD finding revealed that although some share transfer documents carried the true signatures of Mr Chuwong, but purpose of the transfer as stated in the documents were corrected from transfer for the purpose of to be used as collateral, to transfer shares for sale. Besides, dates in the documents were also corrected.

Other unusual error was that the phone number which Chuwong called in to his broker to sell his shares before his death did not match his phone number he declared to the finance firm.

But this was clarified by his broker that he had changed his phone number, and therefore he called in to make same order via extension number. However this remained to be cleared if suspicion.

The CSD is now looking into this number if it was used by any person to order the share sale as the oral share sale on phone had been voice recorded by the finance company.

The CSD was seeking the voice tape from the finance firm to examine if is really Chuwong’s voice. The CSD is also asking Pol Lt Col Bunyin to give his voice samples for comparative examination but he reportedly rejected the CSD’s request.

This case has become very suspicious

Airbags failed to deploy on a Lexus

Pregnant caddie refuses to do DNA test on baby to check the father

Driver of car refuses to do voice recording

Irregularities in share transfer documents

I would say Bunyin is in deep manure, except will be saved by his connections with the main investigator

"Police to conclude Chuwong’s death " ?????

I assume they have concluded the man is no longer alive.

I hope that they have concluded the investigation and that the conclusion they reach is that there has been collusion

among the parties involved in the collision, and collaboration between the driver and the beneficiaries.

Fantastic Thailand, can wrap-up a possible murder, share con, forgery, false statements etc. investigation within a few days and even put an end date on the finalisation of the enquiry -- well I guess it is "amazing Thailand"

They will ask the victim to report to police station next week and if he does not, they will conclude he is actually dead.facepalm.gif

on a more serious note, what about the "black box " on the Lexus, that would let the police know how fast the car was

going, breaking, and why the air bags did not deploy, but there has been no mention of it?

regards Worgeordie

In countries where things are usually done properly an investigation is concluded when all available evidence has been collected no matter how long it takes and determination made on where the evidence points,

In LoS an investigation goes by a timetable and the final result is the one wanted, accuracy notwithstanding.

So the man who is potentially in the frame for accessory to murder refuses to help the investigation and rule himself out of the enquiries has reportedly refused to do voice recognition tests. Hardly the actions of an honest friend or an honourable person. All it does is make him look even more guilty. Pathetic that this sham investigation has dragged on this long. Even a blind person could see all the red flags..

The bump on the car does not look dramatically.
The windshield is intact.
A front passenger would fly without airbags and safety belts through the windshield.
But the front damage looks just almost like a park bump.
Hard to imagine how that can lead to death.

The end date is formal notice of when all "negotiations" must be concluded by and settlements reached.

That makes it so much easier than all this investigative, report, possible prosecutions and court case mularchy,

And so much more rewarding for all those involved.

Yep - they're facts alright.

But they aren't relevant any more than what really happened is. The victim is dead, cremated and gone. All about the money now and some adjusting of how it's divide up may be necessary.

That is why it is called, Amazing Thailand.
