Yes I believe that is true - although it is a long time since I was a Company Secretary! The Certificate of Incorporation should have the company's registered number on it somewhere.

Yes, that is what you need to show. But don't forget that you also have to provide evidence that your company is still operating, in the form of :

A current Appointment Report from Companies House.

Thanks guys!

Is the current appointment report just a case of giving companies house a call?

You should be able to download it from the Companies House website. It will cost about 4 GBP. But, your accountant may already have a copy.

Tony, thank you for your ongoing help.

One last question on this topic if you don't mind, it's on topic so I hope it will be of benefit to other members.

In Paragraph 9(a) of Appendix FM-SE states that the specified type of limited company registered in the UK is one in which:

(ii) shares are held (directly or indirectly) by the person

Question: Shall I include a Shareholder certificate with my application? (if so, is a print out okay?)

It's not necessary. They don't require it. If they required it, it would be in the specified documents. They will check online to confirm that you are a/the director of the company anyway.

This gives me a final list of required documents to collect that are related to my company:

1) Incorporation Certificate

2) Company Tax Return CT600 (a copy or print-out) for the last full financial year

3) Evidence this (CT600) has been filed with HMRC, such as electronic or written acknowledgment from HMRC.

4) Unaudited accounts for the last full financial year and an accountant's certificate of confirmation from an accountant who is a member of a UK Recognised Supervisory Body (as defined in the Companies Act 2006). (IMPORTANT)

5) 12 Months Of Business Bank Statements Covering CT600 Period

6) A current Appointment Report from Companies House. (Download for 4 pounds from Companies House website)

7) Original proof of registration with HMRC as an employer for the purposes of PAYE and National Insurance. This evidence may be in the form of a certified copy of the documentation issued by HMRC.

8) proof of PAYE reference number and Accounts Office reference number. This evidence may be in the form of a certified copy of the documentation issued by HMRC.
Anything missing from the list that you guys can see ?
Cheers!

P.S

For the following:

7) Original proof of registration with HMRC as an employer for the purposes of PAYE and National Insurance. This evidence may be in the form of a certified copy of the documentation issued by HMRC.

8) proof of PAYE reference number and Accounts Office reference number. This evidence may be in the form of a certified copy of the documentation issued by HMRC.
Is it possible to try and provide the original document rather than certify a copy?
