ianh68
Has anyone managed to make a call collect (reverse charges) call from Thailand to UK? Barclays Bank said I could call them call collect if I cleared it with CAT first. CAT tell me they do not have a call collect service.

ThaidDown
Not used this for years so may not work now. Dial 001-999-44-1066 , My notes database indicates that you may be asked to enter account details, do not input anything, just wait. Do the same in response to any other request for input and eventually a human operator (in UK) will answer. State the number you want and provided the called party will accept the charge you should be connected. Again no guarantees this still works. bamnutsak
You may have to ring the regular number, and ask for a call-back? Or you could use local Thai calling card (1 baht/min to the U.K., or U.S. fixed lines; free local access). Looks like they (Barclays) have a web chat feature. Some (but not all) entities do offer int'l toll-free access, so for the U.S. you dial the local AT&T access number ( 001-999-111-11 or 1-800-0001-33 ), then enter the 8xx number.
