A tourist visa with 3 entries means that you can stay 90 days for 3 times in a row?

And how many tourist visas can you get in a row before they won't let you in anymore?

A 3 entry tourist would be valid for entry for 6 months from the date of issue. As long as you did the 3rd entry prior to the visas expiration date you could get almost 9 months of total stay.

There is no limit on the number of tourist visas you can get other than a limit an embassy or consulate sets on the number you can get from them.

Then you have to leave the country and start all over again? I'm trying to stay long term and I've heard of people staying years there, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do it.

People just go to different nearby embassy or consulate to get their visas if they don't go back to their home country for one.
