Rayinbkk
I have sole custody of children of dual nationality, one of the nationalities being Thai. I am their father and have all the Thai court papers granting me the sole custody of the children. The mother has no parental rights. I am now planning to make a first overseas trip with the children. The children have Thai and foreign passports. What I need to know is whether any other documentation will be required by immigration when we leave the country. Will they, for example, need a copy of the court papers. I have heard that under normal circumstances a parent travelling alone with minor children needs a letter of authorisation from the other parent. In my case, however, the mother does not have parental rights. Any advice would be much appreciated.
ubonjoe
Having proof you have full custody of your children would be good to have with you. It is hard to predict what immigration on departure will do.
