Water Pumps on Pattaya Beach

I see there are several huge water pumps on Pattaya beach ready to suck out sewer water in the next rain downpour. There is massive erosion in several parts of beach due to rainfall exceeding pump and sewer capacity, especially during downpours. The pumps and erosion are a real eye sore.

Beach Road was just recently remodeled adding a third lane with new sewers. How come the engineering firm, city engineer and city planning departments didn't design the beach road sewer system to accommodate normal rainfall quantities? Is anyone held accountable for this type of engineering?

It seems like a waste of time and money to redesign and rebuild something like the beach front, not taking into consideration weather conditions which are well documented.

Then there are the giant decaying sand bags at North end ( that are causing more erosion in winter months ). . The collapsing seawall in front of Holiday in. The massive drain project going on again in front of Soi 6. The cave - ins of the walkway ( and counting ) That sorry mess between South end of the so called beach walk and Walking st. Many cave ins behind " those white construction trailers " above that junk yard of a beach with decaying sand bags and chunks of concrete. Then walking the gauntlet by moto taxis in footpath to Walking st. If they would do things right the 5th time they could be done with it. And you mentioned " engineers " ??

So they have three major problems they have created , made worse. Beach erosion, Drainage and that disaster of the beach walk. By the way they are now busy ruining Jomtien now also.

And this is by far the sorriest mess I have ever seen along the bay front since 2002.
