Returning to Thailand

Featured Replies

Left Thailand a little over two years ago without canceling work permit or extension of stay after a dispute w/former employer. Had a multiple reentry stamp at the time.

I haven't been back since but am considering coming back only for a holiday (no plans to work or stay longer than a week) and getting a visa on arrival. Would there be any potential issues at BKK immigration upon return or when trying to leave?

Thx

Apologies - I meant to say 30 day visa exemption (for a U.S. Passport).

To rephrase, given the past history and circumstances upon leaving without canceling WP and extension of stay over 2 years ago, would I likely have any issues getting a 30 day visa exempt entry if I just wanted to come for a quick holiday?

I doubt you will have any issues whatever.

Labour and immigration don't talk to one another and your old WP would long have expired anyway.

Thanks Crossy, just wasn't sure if a bunch of Thai-related stamps from 2+ years ago would raise any red flags at immigration.

Apply for a new passport wouldn't be a bad idea... the less they see the better...
