Non-B renewal and new UK passport questions.

Hey,

Thanks in advance for any help given.
I have a done a search and there wasn't anything specific I could find.

My yearly Non-B is up for renewal on the 22nd Nov, 2015.
My UK passport expires on the 7th of April 2016.
My Non-B was obtained in Penang, Malaysia in 2009.

What options do I have, please?
Is it still not possible to change visas over to new passport?
Will they even issue me a Non-B with only 5 months left on it?

Is my only option to obtain a replacement passport before the 22nd of Nov?

With only five months passport validity you will not be able to enter any of the nearby countries.

Best apply for a new passport soon.

The UK will credit any unused validity to the new passport.

It seems your non-b visa expired long ago if it was issued in 2009.

You apparently been getting one year extensions of stay at an immigration office.

If you don't get a new passport before applying for the extension it will only be done to the date your passport expires. You would then to need to apply for a new extension when the shortened one ends.

Immigration will transfer your extension and entry stamps to your new passport and do a stamp with info entered on it about the viisa you used to get the entry you have been extending.

So it is possible to just transfer stamps over to new passport without any hassle?

Does this have to be done in BKK our can any provincial immigration office do it?

Is there a cost involved?

Get a new passport before your extension is due, else you have to do it again in5 months.

I transferred my stamps to the new passport and after that applied for my yearly extension.

Did it on Samui.
