An extension of stay based upon marriage is the best because it is not based upon your job.

An extension based upon working goes away when your job ends.

Is that a Visa based on marriage, I think you have to leave the country every 90 Days, is that correct, and how much does this cost, I am currently on an Ed visa last 3 years, which has not been a problem thus far!

The fee for a multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage is 5000 baht. You have to leave country every 90 days to a get new entry.

Thanks, is that a one year visa? and what paperwork is required, i presume the tm7 and copies of marrage etc.

A multiple entry visa is valid for one year from the date of issue and gives you unlimited 90 day entries for a year. By doing an entry just before it expires you can get almost 15 months of total stay from it.

You use a visa application form from the consulate. Savannakhet .pdf

You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, signed and dated copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card.
