Where is the better place to apply for the 30 days extension ? Pattaya or Bangkok ..?

Featured Replies

I will certainly apply for a extension of the 30 days ; but so as I am sometime in Pattaya or Bangkok, or eventually in Isaan..

So I am thinking & worried as ( and I also hear a story of 3000 bahts needed to pay in Pattaya ? )

1- They will asking me to show a proof, as ticket out of Thailand ?

2- Start when it's possible after the entry to make this application of extension ?

3- If it's make in Bangkok Immigration, they make the extension in the same day without to have come back again there ?

Jomtien office behaves normally and all extension are charged Bt 1,900 as per law. There is no need to go to Bangkok.

Extensions are issued the same day. Next time that you want to stay in Thailand for more than 30 days get a single entry torusit visa to save money and time.

Jomtien immigration were really good, it cost me 1,900 baht and the girl at the 1st desk on walking through the door helped me with the form as it was my first time doing 30 day extension. Was in and out in 30 minutes

Stick to tourist areas.. they are used to it and won't make you jump through hoops..

As said Jomtien is not longer charging more than 1900 baht.

1. No

2. You can apply a week or so before your entry ends.

3. It is done while you wait at all offices.
