Multiple entry non O visa

Featured Replies

I am an Australian over 50 and visit THailand 2 times a year for no more than 3 months at a time and for the last 10 years have obtained a multiple entry non O visa from the THai consulate in Brisbane -now that it is closed I understand that I have to apply in Sydney and it appears that it is no longer possible to get the non O visa but rather apply for the REtirement visa which I could or a tourist visa -has anyone had experience with the Sydney Counsulate -I think the tourist visa is less hastle and would suit my purposes

Sydney is an official Thai consulate and will only do the OA long stay visa for those 50 or.over

You could check with one of the honorary consulates in Perth, Hobart. Adelaide. There is also one in Melbourne but it has been reported they will not do a non-o visa.

A tourist visa would give you a 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days at an immigration office. You can get a 1 or 2 entry tourist visa.

You can get the tourist visa at the embassy in Canberra, Sydney or any of the honorary consulates.

i got these replys today:

Unfortunately our office in Auckland is not authorised to issue “O-A” retirement visas.

As a Kiwi you can only obtain an O/A visa from Wellington unless you have formal rights of residency in another country.

ok, better news today:

Dear, "Kiwi"

You can apply a retirement visa (OA) in Sydney (see an attachment)

It takes 2 working days to process (in person)

A fee is 225$
