I don't think online petitions mean much. And I'm not going to sign for many of their progressive causes such as saving Medicaid, Social Security aso. And Dem or Rep candidates mean dogsh*t to me. Others can do that. Direct representation or putting your body and your freedom on the line in nonviolent civil disobedience is what works for change. I don't particularly care if the Canadian Action Network is US-based or has satellite branches in other countries. So what. You seem to be saying their CEO is an anti-Zionist, like millions of other Jews. Good on him, #MeToo. If you call the violence Jews have been doing in Palestine since 1909 "defending itself", you're seriously deluded. In order to maintain status as a "charity" in Canada, a group cannot send or receive money from abroad. Ah, here's a petition I have signed and also written to our Minister of Defence. No subs, no jets. Canada is a peacemaker not a warmonger. Surely you must know Canadian "economic sovereignty" is so enmeshed in the US that it would be impossible to separate the two. Probably why our dollar is worth 75¢! I'm not sure that living in a country for nearly 30 years could be called a passport of "convenience". In Canada, we welcome dissent and criticism to make our country healthier, resisting authoritarism and oppression. Canadians also welcome the opinions of "foreign troublemakers".
