Special police team to take over Chuwong’s death and unusual share transfer probe

BANGKOK: -- Royal Thai Police commissioner Pol Gen Somyot Poompanmuong today ordered the forming a new police team to handle investigation of the suspicious death and unusual share transfer of construction billionaire Chuwong Sae Tang in what he said was to ensure justice for his family.

Under the order, his assistant Pol Lt Gen Prawut Thawornsiri will head and supervise the case.

The national police chief said he would also officially appoint Pol Gen Jarumporn Suramanee to look into forensic investigation as he is a specialist in the area.

Somyot’s movement came after Chuwong’s family petitioned the Justice Ministry with request for Khunying Porntip Rojanasunant, director of the Central Institute of Forensic Science, to reexamine forensic autopsy report as several suspicious points were left unclear.

The death probe was handled by metropolitan police, while his unusual share transfer was separately handled by Crime Suppression Division (CSD) police.

The family asked the Royal Thai Police to merge two cases and allow only the CSD to handle alone.

Meanwhile CSD police today questioned the 7-month old pregnant pretty and stock broker who admitted to be Chuwong’s mistress who received huge shares from the unusual transfer.

She insisted of her innocence, saying she received the shares from Chuwong legitimately to lead life.

Her lawyer also rejected DNA test of her baby say it could help nothing to the probe.

Earlier Chuwong’s sister and wife called for the girl to allow DNA test as they suspected it might not be Chuwong’s baby.

Well, well, look at Gen. Somyot turning his coat very elegantly for the better, the evidence must be compelling for him to do so, ...and Chuwong's family must be a bit heavier in the scale than a couple of illegal Burmese workers on KT for him to do so this time... In such circumstances, he spoke the truth: life-out-there must be quite dangerous for anyone in the know of bits of truth about this, next, quagmire largely 'home made' by Police officers (today's and yesterday's involved ones...).

Her lawyers point is mute and a DNA test should be given. If the baby is the dead man's it could be a possible motive for her taking the share and killing him. Especially if she is only a mistress and the child illegitimate.

Or maybe the DNA test might reveal another person is the father............ like the driver of the crashed Lexus; or someone at the Brokerage involved in the share transfer.

She's hiding things.

I can't honestly believe that Gen. Somyot handing the case over to his assistant is going to level the playing field for the family of Chuwong.

no dna test reeks of a cover up by the girl, if she was his "lover" and its his child she wouldnt be stopping the tests to prove it. All this does is make her look guilty and trying to hide the real fathers identity but for millions of baht I guess nothing is beneath her

True - and if it proves the deceased is not the father then how would she explain the very generous gift?

Should I choke now or later

Firstly would be great if these Royal Police are actually investigated by a special internal affairs POLICE TEAM.... Alocated by higher powers and there to serve the best interests of the public.

Secondly the disgraceful officer who refused a standard breath test out of uniform gee....Is that the special gentleman ( left in PIc ) :)

How special is he LOL

Give us a rest about your special rubbish no ones listening the public do want and require special police to squash the rorts and huge money you are making
