"Back" button doesn't always work

Featured Replies

Usually when I have finished reading a thread I use the back button (In Firefox).

Sometimes, however the button does work so I have to use the menus and work my way back to the the previous thread.

1. ThaiVisa doesn't exercise any control over the functionality of a browser 'back button'.

2. You can't rely on the browser 'back button' to always redisplay the previous page. (see below)

Generally, I'll control-click links to open them as new tabs to preserve currently opened pages. [or right-click and select "Open link in new tab"]

How a browser 'back button' will function depends on how the previous page was processed by your browser or add-in extensions, or even how the previous page was arrived at.

Many Internet sites utilize a database and possibly "form data" to generate elements and information that appear on a page, with some of those page elements expiring, so someone can't just go through your web history and view exactly what you were looking at minutes or even days ago.

Try the control-click or right-click method if you're using a full browser. It's a lot more useful, especially when you want to go 'back' to a specific page.
