hi everybody,

My name is Chris, i'm 32 years old and live in the Netherlands. I'm married to Saengduan.

We met in 2010 and in the beginning she didn't speak english at all. Through daily skyping, she learned english.

When i first went to thailand i got some advice to not fall in love, but offcourse you can't direct love.

She worked in a videostore and now she has her own store in bangkok where she sells all kinds of products. from tissue paper to usb-cables.

i know you might laugh at me, but we would like to start our lives together in thailand in the future. It won't be easy, because of the work opportunities, i realize that.

But we will find a way.

I follow thai visa for quite some time now, and recently came on this forum. So i just wanted to introduce myself.

Have a great day.

Chris

Chris: Welkom op ThaiVisa !

I, too, am a 'dyke-hopper' and I have lived in LOS for about 22 years. Married to my Thai' better-half for 21 of those wonderful years; she is the best thing that's ever happened to me.

If you ever need any advice, just drop me a PM (Personal message), okay ?

Cheers,

Jaap

Thank you Resimi,

yes i've learned english eversince i was very little. mostly by watching movies. Although it's my 2nd language, i manage pretty well.

I know it's possible to find a job teaching english, but i've also heared it's better to have a network. People to know who already do it. because everybody who's going to thailand is teaching english these days. And schools prefer people who have english as their native language.

Jomtien, near Pattaya

hey jaap,

i've been in Pattaya, but only 1 day. The first time i came to thailand i went here with Saengduan. We came in the morning and went back in the evening.

I know there are a lot of farangs around there.

We love to go live somewhere in Chiang rai in the future. it's closer to her mom. Her mom lives in Phayao, right at the bottom of the mountain.

Those mountains look amazing. It reminded me off Avatar the movie.

Take care,

Chris.

By the way, i just posted my first blogpost: <deleted>

here i will tell about how i got acqainted with thailand in the very beginning.

On our blog i will tell everything about our meet, holidays and what's it like to have our long distance marriage.
