Has Ranong-victoria Point Checkpoint Open Now?

Featured Replies

It is now September 23rd at 7:30PM. Has anyone received any credible news about the reopening of the checkpoint from Ranong to Victoria Point and back?

My guests want to excersize their 30-day VOA (first one) and are currently in Khao Lak, Phang Nga.

Thanks in advance for the information!

Is there a website or something that is monitoring this checkpoint, or is it best to refer to this post for info on its (hopeful) reopening.

If it does not reopen by Tuesday, September 26, what are their best options since their VOAs expire on Wednesday.

But Malaysian crossings like Sadao or Padang Besar are open right? They are much more business minded than Burma, I can't imagine that they would close, but want to be sure...

Ranong Immigration telephone number is 077821216, and I'll be off to Malaysia if it's not reopened by 27th.
