I will be needing the letter you need to request transfer extension to new passport when back in Thailand. I know it has been said it's downloadable but cannot find it on the site. Anybody done this, or is a visit to the Embassy needed?

Sorry about that ...............I misread the OPs request .

I have no idea where that letter can be found but if the OP is in Bangkok a copy could be acquired from Trendy Tower on Suk soi 13

You don't need to attend in person, just email the Consular Section of the British Embassy in Bangkok at the following email address:

[email protected]

They need scans of your old new passport plus they also need to know the type of your visa/extension as well ( e.g . retirement, Non- immigrant, tourist etc) and the last date you entered Thailand.

They will need a Thai address to EMS the letter to.

Service is free.
