BANGKOK — Two of three persons of interest in Monday's deadly bombing attack were cleared of wrongdoing tonight, according to a police source.

After police announced they were seeking three more people they suspected of being accomplices in the attack, which killed at least 20 and injured more than 150, two them reported to police for questioning and were cleared of involvement, according to a high-level source in the Metropolitan Police Bureau.

One man seen wearing a red shirt and another a white shirt in video taken just before the attack, who were standing near the suspect when he is thought to have planted the bomb, reportedly answered police questions and professed their innocence tonight.

Investigators, the source said, determined they were uninvolved and released them.

BBC Correspondent Jonathan Head said via Twitter that one of the men was reported to be a Chinese tourist and the other a local guide.

Police: Woman sought in Bangkok bombing probe
By Kocha Olarn and Jethro Mullen, CNN

Bangkok, Thailand (CNN)Police are looking for a "woman wearing a black shirt" in connection with this week's deadly bombing at Bangkok's Erawan Shrine, a senior police spokesman said Thursday.

"I would urge her to come forward to provide information to police," Lt. Gen. Prawut Thavornsiri told reporters without elaborating.

Earlier, two men captured on surveillance video entering the shrine ahead of Monday's bombing turned themselves in, but it does not appear they're linked to the attack, Prawut said.

The men -- a tourist and tour guide described by the colors of the shirts they were wearing at the shrine: white and red -- were taken to metro police headquarters for interrogation, said Col. Decha Promsuwan, a police official in Bangkok. They both had been sought by police but have denied any connection to the alleged bomber, he said.

Later, Prawut told reporters it was unlikely they were involved in the blast.

2 down, 67 million to go.

I would have thought that gathering all the images in the area, and eliminating everyone in them would be a matter of course.

That way real accomplices can be identified.

What percentage of the main culprit (yellow shirt) has been captured so far?

Why has this percentage measure not been employed in getting this guy.

The use or lack of use in police investigations is very interesting.

Does the colour of the shirts refer to political party?

are the white shirts the military political party?

The chap in the photo was wearing yellow, I thought that was the colour of the military political party? does any one know?

Probably irrelevant in this case. Never heard of white shirts for any political affiliation.
