How come no discussion on the Chinese stock market

I've looked in the news section, don't see anything running about the Chinese fiscal 'crisis'. Anyone have any insight into what is happening over there?

They've lost their competitive advantage, I'm trying to get a certain vending machine made, I received quotes from 10 different suppliers, the prices were ridiculously expensive. Now getting it made in Turkey for half the price. No wonder they are in a crisis lol, minimum wage in China surpassed the minimum wage in a fellow EU member Romania :D

What is going on?

The bubble they have maintained for over a decade, is finally showing its cracks, and will probably completely deflate in the next 2 months.

Ok, seems like a significant world event. An American journalist confuses Thailand and Taiwan, and it's a ten page thread.

I know about the ghost cities in China, what other sort of horrendous fundamentals are happening there?

If you follow financial news, China is constantly discussed. The worldwide stock market meltdown last couple of trading days blamed the slowing Chinese economy. And yes, the Chinese stock market has been tanking. But it had gone up quite a bit previously, so a major correction was due. Many also suggest that financial figures coming out of China are largely smoke and mirrors. Hard to say what's real and what's not. But there's no question that what goes on in China will impact the rest of the world. Anyways, not sure where the OP is looking for news, but it's out there. Lots of it.

If you follow the banking forum there are a lot of threads in it where it has been and is being discussed.

My work in China was from the late 1980's to the mid'1990's. People ask me what is the main difference between china when you were there and china now?

I answer: When I was in China, they were poor.

whistling.gif Just my opinion and I am NOT an expert..... but I believe that for some time China's "growth" figures have been seriously overstated. (i.e. deliberately inflated).

Now those people who were so big on the Chinese economy, have been forced to see the reality behind the Chinese "economic growth" illusion for the illusion it always has been.

And they are worried.

For many "China lovers" it is like attending a marriage shower, where the Groom plays a porno film and the female "star" of the film is your prospective bride.

The problem with all asian economies is they supply the middle class.. The middle class has been destroyed in North America, by cheap labour in Asia. The asian countries tried to bring middle class purchasing into their countries. But they found out that to support middle class you must pay middle class wages. Their bubble is bursting because people on slave labour wages cannot support middle class deficit budgeting for any substantial length of time.. They stole the middle class labour that is the purchaser of their goods and now donot have a place to market their goods. Asia doesnot pay well enough to allow the workers to maintain purchasing power.and the rest of the world isnot working.

So their stock market will fail along with their industry.
