An appointment at Chiang Mai Immigration

Featured Replies

So, the online appointment scheduler has been turned off.

What will happen to my appointment for Retirement Visa Extension that is scheduled for October?

Word is that they will honour the appointments booked before they turned off the online appointment system. I also have an appointment in October, and will turn up at the appointed time.

Is it a permanent or temporary situation ?

Anyone knows ?

As is known the "Queue Online" procedure is no longer available and the annual visa application must know be done again at the immigration office queue line.

The C.M. Immigration office states that applicants can apply for the annual visa application 45 days before the end of the existing visa date.

They also suggest that applicants should arrive early in the morning at 7 AM or even before, because they will only accept 20 applicants on the day and they give them the queue line numbers and the 20 applicants have to wait in the office queue line number, and that takes many hours.

It is possible that the "Queue Online" procedure will eventually be re-instated.

Speaking from first-hand experience, Chiang Mai Immigrations will honour existing online appointments. Announce yourself at the information desk when you arrive. You should get called at your appointed time but if you are not called within say, a half-hour of your scheduled time, assert yourself.
