Hope people can share ideas here about making a property transaction smooth.

Here's one thing not to do.

Once you have handed over the cheque at the land office and obtained your chanot (title deed) with your name showing make sure you take possesion of the keys at the same time and if the owner still has personal items inside the property, accompany them to collect and see them leave.

I let my seller have a week to clear out his stuff. He also cleared out the balcony windows. Be careful people. I live and learn.
