I understand that construction has finally begun on the vacant lot next to VT6 on Beach Road. Does anyone know what will be going up there? Another condo tower or a hotel I assume. Feeling sorry for the poor buggers who will have their south facing views obstructed similar to their north facing neighbors when the Hilton was built out.

From what I have heard from a VT 6 resident and friend of mine, it is going to be a 31 level hotel. I believe that will be the main structure with 2 other smaller towers. He said, that some time ago there was a display sign on the beach front side of that plot of land explaining what was going up. That might not be there anymore but it might be worthwhile to go have a look to see if it is. Work has already started.

He seems to think not all of his views will disappear, but some of course will. I wouldn't have bought there not thinking that might happen one day but he isn't too worried about it.

We know that anybody with a brain would have never bought a condo next to an empty land right ? So they perfectly knew what would happen.

And of course knowing how many hundreds millions they bought the land, the new building will be as tall as bribery allows !
