Now that it's past 9/21 has anyone been back? I assume the TOPs is still closed?

I was there yesterday. The shutters on both ends were down. The former Tops is now completely gutted out, no fittings or refridgerators inside (I looked inside the window). Not much work happening, the shops upstairs are functioning as normal. I wonder what will become of this place, it's quite a big size area and would be very useful as a supermarket for us if someone new was going in.

Tops in the basement of Tukcom has expanded into the area which previously was the food court-all the racking/shelves old stock it seems from the klang/second road store thumbsup.gif

I was in the Tops at TukCom this morning and was amazed at the change! When finished it will be twice the size of the original, and much better stocked. I spotted quite a few items that obviously came from the closed Tops.

but I can't figure out how the owners of that building are going to revive business on the upper floors and what they can do with the rest of the building. Have you seen how dead it is upstairs compared to say 6 to 7 years ago? and surely it won't get any better when the new seven level IT centre opens on Pattaya Klang.

I believe that the viability of that Tops in the basement will be influenced by the continuing decline of business upstairs.

Where is the 7 story IT center on Central going to be exactly? Any word on an opening date?

the basic structure itself is almost finished so surely it's well beyond being a pipe dream? If you mean it's a pipe dream that they will be able to successfully fill it up with tenants that's another thing altogether.but if they set their rents low enough to attract occupiers then it's no pipe dream they will be able to lure many of the IT shops who are currently in the old Tukom. why would anyone want to continue in that old dingy building?
