Despite questions as to how much gamblers contribute to the tourism industry, casinos and junket providers alike argue that their operations draw a large inflow of international visitors. These chinese junkets to Macau have been very obvious money laundering road trips, using agents of some kind to collect funds in china, then the agent unloads to funds back to the original owner once out of the mainland. And most of the money is connected to official corruption by the 'cadres'. Naturally they want out of china and with plenty of cash. Cambodia welcomes such wealthy criminals.
