LONG AN (VNS) — Free check-ups and medicine were provided to residents in two disadvantaged communes in Cambodia by the military high command of the southern province of Long An.

More than 600 impoverished people in Cham commune, Pray Veng Province and Koitrabek commune, Svay Rieng province benefited from the charity programme.

Vietnamese military doctors also gave information on primary healthcare to improve the health of the elderly and children while offering advice on leading a healthy lifestyle and using clean water.

Long An shares 133km of border with Cambodia's Svay Rieng and Pray Veng provinces, with one international border gate, one national border gate and two auxiliary gates. — VNS

Well done. Not only did the VN kick out Pol Pot, in the face of Western hostility, they have at least shown some humanity to an isolated group of Cham people.

I know they are not perfect, for those who think I work for Hanoi.
