Gen. Sonthi believes that another coup d'etat will not occur

The Council for Democratic Reform under the Constitutional Monarchy (CDRM) Chairman, Gen. Sonthi Boonyaratglin (สนธิ บุญยรัตกลิน), believes that there will not be another round of coup d’etat.

However, he said the national situation has to be closely observed, while indicating that the martial law will be withdrawn very soon.

With regard to the current political movements from different groups, Gen. Sonthi said that they are under the democratic framework.

He said he will not take any action against the movements that are aimed at contributing unity and peace to the nation.
