Songthaew Map, Khon Kaen City

Nice printed map showing all songthaew routes, on display behind a piece of plexiglass at Baw-khaw-saw 3. Does anyone know, (or can make an educated guess), where I can obtain a copy ? If naming some obscure government office, please give explicit directions; I am an occasional visitor who knows the city only a little. Thank you.

I found this on the web.

Don't hold me responsible whether its up-to-date.

Its supposed to be from KK university.

Its a big image file, so just a link:

As an occasional visitor the only fact I can confirm for sure, is that line 3 goes along Srichan rd.

A Google map approach.

Even without Thai knowledge you should be able to use it.

Click the first button on the upper right.

Then click the desired bus nr and check the box.

This will show the route on the map.

Again, don't hold me responsible tongue.png

Example (resized), line 3 (bit hard to see) and 4.

Line 3 looks consistent with the map from my previous post.

The tourist office map shows the Songthaew routes on one page from memory. Tourist Office is on Rop Bung Alley (western side of road) that runs down the western side of Bueng Khaen Nakhon (lake). Roughly along the bit where 'Rop Bung Alley' is printed on the attached map extract immediately north of 'Wat Klang'

Allane tells me in a PM that he could not find that tourist office from my directions. He found a map at another location though.

Can anyone local in KK confirm or deny - am I going mad? Convinced it was on the east side of the lake top half and well identified as a tourist info office. It was only 4 weeks ago - guess it possibly could have closed since, but unlikely

Hey,

I'm currently in Khon Kaen and as I work in the week had no chance to obtain a map in the tourism office (TAT). The links in this discussion were outdated, so after some search I found this greatly detailed one to download:

Just pay attention, as many of the english transcription of road names are slightly different to Google Maps.

Hope it will help the next people with the same problem :)
