Anyone use Utorrent? Problems with downloads.

Been using Utorrent for quite a while, but today keep getting the message "Utorrent can't find path specified" when I add an item to be downloaded. Anyone else having this problem, and better yet, a solution? Tried some of the "fixes" online, but nothing is working.

Thanks, but all sorted. If anyone else has the problem I'm happy to divulge how I solved mine.

I think a lot of us use uT, it is a fantastic little program. uT, firefox & Kmp must be the most used programs on my computer.

In rare occasions that I get "can't find path specified" , a forced control , solves it.

What is a forced control?

I only get this when my external hard drive has been disconnected, which happens occasionally - and in that instance it's a perfectly correct message. First thing to check would be that the path you are trying to save to does exist (maybe you have a disconnected external hard drive, or the last time you downloaded it was to a temporary usb drive you'd attached?)

I have uT in another language : if you right click on the torrent ( that shows the error) , the 5th option counting from the bottom should say some thing like a forced recheck of the torrent.

You didn't mention which version you're using : 2.21 was a very bad one , 3.4.2 is a good one ( with some modifications , to get rid of the ad's , promotions on the left side . In options, advanced , you can make changes for things that annoy you , just duckduckgo it.

I have 3.4.4. The problem was because somehow the path was no longer specified. No idea why it changed, but it's back to normal now. I don't have any annoying ads because I use Adblock.

Adblock is for browsers , not torrent programs , I thought.
