Country dealt with the heartbreaks in life....Lost Love - Loneliness - Drinking and alot spun out of the depression/coal miner/common man lament -→ Just a different or white way of singing the blues.....Prior to that alot of western/cowboy songs came from harsh living/lives

Never played rock although I do appreciate there were some good rock music musicians, I don't know anything

about Gerry Rafferty, though I do know he was popular at his type of music.

'George Jones probably learned from the great Hank Williams'. Yes he did, he used to copy his singing style along with Roy Acuff, but he was told

by his then manager, never mind singing like Hank or Roy, sing like George Jones, that's why he was the greatest and most original country music singer.
