I have a triple entry tourist visa and i extend it for 30 days it runs out tomorrow.

Any good suggestions.

I would go with flying, Malaysia quite nice to stay couple days, flights can be cheap with luck and as no visa fee will be almost as cheap as using your visa van service. You far better off learning & making effort do visa runs on your own as far cheaper & far less likely get problems under current messy situation ...

OP

Just a thought ...........Have you checked the "enter before date" on the visa?

You must re-enter the country on or before that date.

It´s only my second entry i have to activate.

I find that the ceapest is to fly to Vietnam.

Check Vietnam's visa requirements!

I can stay 15 days.

Yes, you're right. As a Danish passport holder you can stay in VN for up to 15 days

on a visa-exempt stamp but you'll be requested to show an onward ticket upon arrival.

For those in a similar situation in Bangkok and Pattya etc, here's a tip:

Thai Lion Air are newly arrived on the routes from Don Meuang to Udon Thani and Ubon Ratchatani and have 5 (UdonT) and 4 (UbonR) flights each way per day. The prices are crazy low as an opening promotion. Next week you could fly all-in return for about 1,250 baht to UdonT and 1,050 baht to UbonR. Potentially even less if you can take an early morning flight

Check out the schedule and prices here: https://search.lionairthai.com/en. There are no hidden prices for baggage or seats (you get 15kg free) but remember to uncheck the insurance box unless you want to pay 100+ baht for flight insurance. My price indicators above exclude insurance and exclude specific seat reservation (who needs a pre-selected seat for a 1 hour flight). There is no payment fee for direct debit bank payments and I think no fee for other methods including payment at 711s etc.

From Udon Thani you can get a bus to the Nong Khai/Vientiane border between Thailand and Laos to refresh your tourist visa (or go on to Vientiane to get a new non-O visa)

From Ubon Ratchatani you can get a bus to the Chong Mek border between Thailand and Laos to refresh your tourist visa (or get a bus to Mukdahan and cross into Laos at Savannakhet to get a new non-O visa).

There are many threads that cover travel arrangements and timings between Nong Khai/Ubon and their respectively close(ish) borders with Laos, but I'm sure one of us can respond to specifics on that if you want to open the discussion further.

The current promotional cheapness of flights makes the long distance coaches to Ubon and Udon much less worthwhile than before though I could still see merit in simplicity for Pattaya residents in jumping on say a coach to Udon or Ubon, rather than hoofing it first to Don Mueang even if you are not going to save more than a few baht doing it that way. From Bangkok it makes no sense to take the long-distance coaches at these flight prices

SANTISUK.....great report. Yes I fly udon thani all the time. Can't work out the bus idea. Airasia is same as prices above. I'm going next week. Already have my ticket. Book em months in advance. Anyway just punched in same dates for flight next week. 490baht each way. Yes I use the 7/11 payment method. Cost 100b. Or you can spend day in bus.

Im looking for fligts right now.....

Where can i go without a visa ?

Assuming you are Danish, you can enter Malaysia visa exempt.

And you can fly there from U-Tapao (Air Asia).

Thanks Jacksam

People will find that they can book the Thai Lion Air flights at these bargain promo prices at relatively short notice. For the tine being at least there are some great domestic fares knocking around. Either this is quiet season or the economy is biting or the increased number of lo cost flights from the likes of Thai Lion are having a beneficial effect for those who need to travel. Probably a combination of all those.
