September 22, 201510 yr When I was a kid, growing up in Africa, we used to play with those horny ones due to lack of model cars. So we would build roads, houses and garages, and then we would drive around those bugs and pretend they where cars.
September 22, 201510 yr How about taking it to the nearest woods and letting it find a new home? It's a beautiful specimen, very unusual. I put it on a mango tree in my garden, It climbed to the very top, Then launched into the air. Looked too big to fly, but it could. Gone now. Well done you!
September 22, 201510 yr Talking of bugs, a couple of days ago one of these came wandering along the patio , what is it ? A bit like a centipede but shorter.
September 22, 201510 yr Once when I was still chasing the buck, stayed in some flea bag motel in S. Carolina. The critters were moving the furniture around.
September 22, 201510 yr Glad to see it was only a beetle...I was trying to imagine if you where having to deal with a horny male, female, or it...This is Thailand...
September 23, 201510 yr That's a nice looking specimen, they seem to be pretty useless beetles - every night when I am taking my dog for a walk it seems I have to flip 2 or 3 of these things over that are on their backs, legs wiggling. They are also a bugger to get rid of if they get a grip on your finger!
September 23, 201510 yr I know the one thai children play with .... with a thread but its more black and smaller
