Each entry is for 60 days that can be extended for 30 days at an immigration office. After that first 90s day you would need to leave and re-enter the country to use the 2nd entry.

For example if you go from Mae Sot to Myawaddy then you have to return the same day as Myanmar don't allow you to stay over night without a Myanmar visa.

I you have succeeded in obtaining more than one or two of these two week stamps you are very lucky. 60 day stamps can only be obtained by those who have a tourist visa from a Thai Embassy/Consulate.

You have to go to the Thai embassy in Vientiane, Loas and apply for a tourist visa. A double entry visa is available. You cannot get a 60 day entry without a visa.

Providing I go on a Saturday could I have this taken care of the same day for a trip back on Sunday or Saturday afternoon?

If a visa is applied for on Monday before 11am you will receive the visa on Tuesday pm. The cost of a double entry visa is 2000 Bht.
